POINSETTIA FUNDRAISER TOPS OVER 1,200 PLANTS
Team Is Top
Seller in Lakeville For Third Year In A Row!

Bachman's holiday poinsettias,
red, pink and white.
The 3rd annual
Cougar baseball poinsettia fundraiser is officially a
success. Poinsettia chairman Joel Blaschko announced that
while sales were down this year, the team was still able
to sell 1,266 plants.
Congratulations
to this year's award winners for selling the most
poinsettias. Senior Eric Watts was the top seller with 130
poinsettias sold. Second place was senior Matt Iverson
with 73 and third place was junior Joe Novak with 70.
Great job guys!

Joel Blaschko with winners,
Joe Novak (3rd), Matt Iverson (2nd), Eric Watts (1st).
For those that
are wondering about the prize change, Best Buy gladly stepped in
to the rescue when GameStop said no to the promotion at
the last minute. (The value per award is still the same
though. We figured roughly $50 per game.)
Special thanks to General Manager Alex Bartlett and manager Jenn
Bailey for the outstanding prize contribution. Their very generous support
is greatly appreciated.
With a
convenient new Best Buy location here in Lakeville, there
is now finally a source to buy games locally, so players
won't have to drive all the way to Burnsville or Apple
Valley anymore for games. Thanks to the new Lakeville Best
Buy for stepping up to the plate for Cougar baseball!

very near future.

Top sellers for
2007 are listed to the right.

The check-in table at the front
starts the poinsettia pick up process.

One hallway at Lakeville South is
filled with Bachman's poinsettias.

Cougar volunteers showed up in
force to help the day go smoothly.

The poinsettia fundraiser brain
trust mulls over an order to fill.

Hundreds and hundreds of Bachman's
holiday poinsettias.

Counting it all up at the end.
Special thanks to Joel
Blaschko for volunteering to head up the fundraiser for the second
year in a row. Another great job Joel.
Thanks again to all who
helped make this year another huge success!
Go Cougrrrs!
