COUGARS BY ONE
The Apple Valley Eagles
squeaked by the Lakeville South Cougars by a score of 6-5 on
Thursday night at Cougar Field.
Apple Valley out hit
the Cougars nine hits to seven and had a two-run lead going into the
bottom of the 7th inning. The Cougars rallied for one run to make it
6 to 5 in the last of the 7th, but fell one run short of tying the
game with the bases loaded and two outs.
The Cougars scored one
run in the 4th, three in the 5th and the final run in the bottom
half of the 7th.
Apple Valley scored
four runs in the 3rd and one in the 4th.
The Cougars had two
errors in the field while the Eagles had one.
