COUGAR FRESHMAN LOSE CLOSE ONE
TO EAGAN
The Cougars went on the road for the fourth time in five games as
they traveled to Eagan for a bonafide nail-biter.
The Cougars lost the
game 2-1, however Hunter Ruth pitched a great game scattering 7 hits
in 6 innings, striking out 7 and walking 0.
Matt Benge scored the
lone run in the 4th after walking to get on base,
advancing to second on Collin Poe’s single and scoring on Peter
Schneeman’s single to right.
Poe was 2 for 3 on the
day.
The freshmen Cougars
are now 2-3 on the season.
