COUGAR FRESHMAN POUND JEFFERSON
The Cougar freshmen were finally able to play at home as they
soundly beat Jefferson in a 12-5 win at Lakeville South fields.
Collin Poe started the
game and went 3 innings before giving way to Nick Continenza who
finished the game by pitching four shut out innings for the Cougars
second win of the season.
The
Cougar freshman scored three runs in the 5th and five
runs in the 6th.
Leading the charge was Andy St. Martin who was 4 for 4 with a
homerun and 6 RBIs.
Mike
Hodson, Nick Continenza, Ben Hansen and Mike Huntoon all had two
hits a piece.
"Our
defense has gotten better in each game and we are playing good
baseball," said coach Golberg.
The
Cougars are now 2-2 on the season. Their next game is against Eagan.
