BIO
Coach Mark Zeise was
raised in New Ulm, Minnesota, where he played baseball and football.
Mark went on to play
four years of college baseball and football for Gustavus Adolphus,
where he was a center fielder on the baseball team.
Coach Zeise later
worked as an assistant coach for many years before landing the head
coaching job at Lakeville High School in 1987. Under his tenure, the
Panthers were in the final four of the state sectional tourney every
year from 1997 on, except for only two years.
Coach Zeise's
Panthers were Lake Conference champions twice and were also in the
state championship twice. Coach Zeise’s team was runner-up in 2000,
but won the state championship in 2005 during his last year as head
coach, before joining South.
Coach Zeise was
named Minnesota State High School Coach of the Year in 2005.
In 2006, Coach Zeise was
named to the New Ulm Baseball Hall of Fame.

Mark was also the
offensive line coach for the 1991 state runner-up and the 1992 state
championship Panther football teams.
He currently coaches
sophomore football for Lakeville South and was also an assistant
coach for the State Champion Runner-Up Cougar football team in 2006.
Coach Zeise taught
science for Lakeville South and retired from teaching after the 2007
school season.
He is married to
wife Shari. They have one daughter, Kirsten, a senior at
Lakeville North High School.
