BIO
Varsity Pitching Coach
Coach Groff was
raised in Eagan, Minnesota where he played baseball, basketball and
football for Eagan High
School.
Coach Groff went to
St. Olaf College where he played baseball and graduated in 1995.
Jake went to receive his
Masters from St. Mary's University in 2003.
Coach Groff was the
assistant coach and pitching coach for the Farmington High School
varsity team for seven years prior to coming to Lakeville, helping to develop many bright
young pitchers during his time there.
Coach Groff has
brought his expertise to Lakeville in an effort to help coach Zeise
lay the foundation for a winning tradition at Lakeville South. He is
also a 9th grade Cougar football coach.
Jake is currently Special
Education teacher at Lakeville South High School.
He is
married to wife Cassie and they have two children, Ben
and Anna.
Coach Groff
is looking forward to the continuing challenge of developing young
pitching talent while helping to build a solid
baseball program at Lakeville South.
