Sophomore Coach
Coach Golberg
grew up in Owatonna, Minnesota and graduated from Owatonna High
School in 1982. After high school he attended Mankato State
University where he majored in physical education and minored in
adapted physical education and coaching.
Coach Golberg played
football and baseball while at Mankato State and feels very lucky
that he was able to learn the game of baseball from one of the best
college coaches in the country, Dean Bowyer.
After college, Kirk
received his first teaching job in Lakeville and has been here ever
since. Kirk has coached football, basketball and baseball in
Lakeville. He was coach Zeise’s assistant for 13 years and is very
excited to be returning to the diamond this year.
Coach Golberg currently
teaches physical education and adapted physical education at
Lakeville South. He also coached varsity football for the Cougars.
His wife Amy is also a
teacher in Lakeville and they have two children, Riley and Hunter.
