JV WINS ON THE ROAD AT KENNEDY
Williams and Bunnell Both Pitch Well
The Lakeville South Cougar junior
varsity was on the road at Bloomington Kennedy and came away with a
13-7 victory on Wednesday afternoon.
The team got good pitching from
starter Russ Williams and also from Reed Bunnell. The team also
played good defense when they needed to.
The Cougars next game is Thursday at
home versus Burnsville.
JUNIOR VARSITY COMES UP SHORT, 5-2
Russ Williams pitched four innings of
good baseball on Thursday, but the Eagan Wildcats came out on top in
the end by a score of 5-2 to down the Cougar JV on the road.
The Cougars next game is Monday at
home against Chaska.

West Goes
The Distance; Scatters 4 Hits Through 7
The Cougar junior varsity held on for a
close 3-2 win on the road over the Eden Prairie Eagles on Monday
afternoon.
The story of the afternoon was junior
pitcher Taylor West as he started on the hill for the Cougars and went the
entire distance, pitching seven strong innings while scattering just four
hits and giving up only two runs in the game.
The next game for the JV Cougars is
Wednesday at home versus Bloomington Jefferson.

The Cougar junior
varsity lost a 6-1 ballgame to cross-town Lakeville North on Monday
at Kenwood Field.
Taylor West started on the mound for the Cougars and
pitched well.
The next game for the
JV is this Thursday in Apple Valley.

Goes 4 for 5 To Scorch Kennedy Pitching
The Cougar junior varsity won for the
second day in a row as they downed the Kennedy Eagles at home on
Cougar Field by a score of 11-5.
Offensively Theo Gergen
had a huge day at the plate as he went 4 for 5 to help lead the
Cougar attack.
The next game for the
JV is Friday, April 20th in a make-up game with Apple Valley.

Clarke Goes 4 for 4, Hansen
Key Hit Propels Cougars Over Wildcats
The Cougar JV outlasted the Eagan
Wildcats at Lakeville South Cougar Field by a score of 7-6. The
Cougars did it in dramatic fashion by pulling it out in the bottom
of the 7th for the win.
Matt Clarke was 4 for 4
with three singles and a double and Ben Hansen had a key blast to
help lead the Cougar hitters. (More game news to come.)
Next game for the Cougar JV is Thursday
at home against Bloomington Kennedy at 4:15 at Cougar Field.

The Cougar JV played very well, yet
lost a close one 5-3 in their season home opener at Cougar Field.
Taylor West
started for the Cougars, followed by Blake Nicols and then Adam
Blaschko.
"All three of
them pitched very well," said JV head coach Paul Schmidtke.
"For the first game we played great. We made some plays. We just
came up a little short at the end."
Leading hitters
for the Cougars that day were Andrew Maher, Matt Clarke, Theo Gergen
and Trevor Anderson.
Shortstop Jake
Wanner made one of the top plays of the day by ranging far to his right
on a hard hit ball and making a very tough play and a good throw to
get the runner out at first base.
Next game for the Cougars is Thursday at home against
Apple Valley, however, due to the weather, that game is now in
jeopardy of being moved.
