Cougars Lost 7-1 to Eden Prairie
According to interim coach Kalin Laurent, "Robbie
Wahlstrom threw for us against EP and did a nice job."
Laurent added, "The Eagles were fast and we struggled."
Cougars Tie Apple Valley 7-7 in 8 innings
Mark Straley pitched 6 plus innings against AVHS and had the lead
going into the 6th! We got key catches in the outfield and a
pickoff at second base, which helped us hang on.

FRESHMAN 9B WINS OVER EAGAN
The Freshman-B Cougars pounded
the Eagan Wildcats by a score of 14-7.
Eagan led off the game with 5
Runs, then the Cougars answered right back with a 5 run first of
their own.
Leading hitters on the day for
the Cougars were Justin Parizek (triple), Cory Schuller (triple) and
Brett Haus (double).
Alex Seeling pitched for the
Cougars on the mound and threw three shutout innings, scattering
five hits along the way.
All in all it was a very good day for the
Cougars. Freshman-B coach VanGrinsven said it very concisely, "We
kicked butt."
The Cougars next game is Monday at Burnsville.

FRESHMAN B WINS WITH
5 RUNS IN THE 6TH
Monday, April 9th, 2007

The Cougar Freshman B team put
together a 5-run 6th inning to come from behind over Lakeville North
by a score of 8-7. Robbie Wahlstrom pitched very well through 4
innings with no hits, striking out four in the process. Torey
Needham and Joe Juniper pitched in relief for the Cougar win. Travis
Seurer was 3 for 3 to lead the Cougar hitting attack at the plate.
Coach Adam VanGrinsven was pleased
with the defense crediting Wahlstrom for his pitching but also noted
the effort put forth by the Cougar defense.
"We had awesome defense," said Coach
VanGrinsven.
The Freshman B Cougars are now 1-0
to start the season.
